Paint Color Consultation Process
Scheduling
As a client of Kind Home Painting Co. we are committed to you loving every aspect of your paint project which is why you have the option to utilize our complimentary color consultation services.
Your dedicated Account Manager will help find a day and time that works for your schedule.
Discovery
To begin your consultation your Color Designer will want to view the space to be painted, either exterior or interior as this will help to understand the elements that should be factored in to your color selection.
From there, you’ll have an opportunity to discuss your personal preferences and vision for the space.
Color Tools
Your Consultant will provide tools such as Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore fan decks as well as larger sample sheets.
If you struggle to visualize the colors within your space we might recommend you take advantage of our digital mock-ups!
Narrow Down
Before your consultant leaves, they’ll be sure to work with you to narrow down color selections to two or three color combinations.
This can help keep you from feeling overwhelmed by all of the choices and simplify the color selection process.
Wrap Up
Once your consultation is complete your Color Designer will be sure to send you a breakdown of the color schemes and what you both discussed at your consultation.
From here we can help order you samples to confirm your color selection.

Paint COLOR FAQ
Frequently Asked
Color Consult Questions
Yes! All of our color consultants are certified and are required to stay up-to-date on current paint color trends.
Do the estimators do the color consultation or is it a different person?
No! It’s very common for paint companies to offer a “free color consultation” but this usually just an estimator who is not certified in design. Our certified color consultants exclusively work with clients to find the perfect paint color for their interior or exterior paint projects.
What kind of tools will they have?
During your consultation your designer will get a feel for your personal taste and vision for the space before they break out their color toolkit. They’ll have larger swatches or full color sheets of Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore colors, color wheels, and color decks. You can also receive samples shipped directly to your home as well as digital mockups which are provided post consultation!
Do they offer virtual color consultations?
Although we don’t currently offer a virtual consultation package, our consultants can still help if you’re unable to meet with them, live out of state, or are just short on time. Be sure to talk to your account manager in the office to find the best option for you.
Do I have to paint with you to receive a color consultation?
You can absolutely schedule a color consultation whether you paint with Kind Home Painting Co. or not. We offer a couple different package so check out our sister site, Colorado Color Consultants, for more info and to schedule online.
